The short version
The Cerebrumma CLI tool runs entirely on your machine. It never transmits your memories, your code, or any personal data to us or anyone else. Your Brain is yours.
The cerebrumma.com website uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. That is the only data collection we do.
What the CLI collects
Nothing. The cerebrum CLI and MCP server run 100% locally. All memory entries are stored in .cerebrum/ or ~/.cerebrum/ on your own machine. No data is sent to Cerebrumma servers — because there are no Cerebrumma servers.
What the website collects
When you visit cerebrumma.com, Google Analytics (GA4) automatically collects:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring website or search query that brought you here
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Approximate geographic location (country / city, not your address)
- Your anonymised IP address
We use this data solely to understand which docs pages are useful, where visitors come from, and how to improve the site. We do not use it for advertising and do not sell it to anyone.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _gid, and related) to distinguish visitors across sessions. These are analytics cookies only — no advertising cookies are used. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a content blocker such as uBlock Origin.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics (GA4) — website traffic analytics. Google Privacy Policy ↗
- GitHub— hosts the source code. Visiting those links is subject to GitHub's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts this website. Vercel may log request metadata (IP, headers) for security and infrastructure purposes.
Your rights
If you are in the EU (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. Because the only personal data we have is anonymised analytics, there is generally nothing to access or delete beyond what Google holds. To exercise any rights or ask questions, email info@cerebrumma.com.
Data retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. We do not retain any other personal data.
Children
Cerebrumma is a developer tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we materially change how we collect or use data, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
